Salonul de la Detroit, in luna Ianuarie 2007, va aduce debutul unei "Z4" speciala. Este versiunea "M", foarte asteptata de clientii amatori de versiuni sport. Cateva caracteristici:: sase cilindri in linie, 3.2 litri, 343 CP la 7900 rot/min, 365 Nm cuplu maxim la 4900 rot/min cu o putere specifica de 106 CP/litru si un raport greutate/putere de 4,1 kg/CP. 0-100 in fix 5 sec.
