Detin si eu un i3 fabricatie 2016 de vreo saptamana si uitandu-ma prin fata pe la capota am observat 2 recipiente 1 pt incalzire habitaclu iar unul pt incalzire baterie banuiesc iar unul din ele este un pic sub nivel. Aveti careva idee ce fel de antigel se pune ??

After an independent crash test in China in 2021, the vehicle reportedly caught fire ~48 hours later. BYD’s explanation pointed to the use of a 𝗿𝗲𝗱, 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁 instead of the 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗹𝗲, 𝗻𝗼𝗻-𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁 specified for the vehicle.

In battery systems, fluid is not “just coolant.”
𝗜𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲.

I spent some time with a leading battery thermal expert recently. The takeaway I keep coming back to: 𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴.

The most valuable benefit of immersion cooling may not be faster charging. 𝗜𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘆 𝗯𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

W𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗮 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀, 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗴𝗼?

In air or conventional indirect-cooling designs, heat can move into neighboring cells, structures, plates, and electrical interfaces. In immersion, the 𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗳𝗹𝘂𝗶𝗱 is in direct contact with the cells. It can absorb and spread energy, reducing the chance that one failing cell becomes a module-level event.

The regulatory direction is clear:
In China, 𝗚𝗕 𝟯𝟴𝟬𝟯𝟭-𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 (effective July 2026) raises the bar from a 5-minute pre-fire warning to 𝗻𝗼 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗼 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 after thermal runaway is induced in a cell.
In Europe, the latest 𝗨𝗡 𝗘𝗖𝗘 𝗥𝟭𝟬𝟬 revisions explicitly target 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗹-𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.
The destinations are slightly different — outcome-based in China, process-based in Europe — but the trajectory is the same: 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲-𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘂𝗿𝗲 is becoming a hard requirement, not a marketing claim.

That matters because battery safety is no longer just a compliance topic. It is a 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿-𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁 topic, an 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 topic, and a 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝘂𝗮𝗹-𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 topic.

This is where 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗳𝗹𝘂𝗶𝗱𝘀 and immersion become strategically important. Top companies are engineering cooling systems around 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗯𝘀𝗼𝗿𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆, and 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆.

My view: the industry should stop positioning immersion only as “cooling.”
𝗜𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲. One that also happens to unlock performance.

Practic daca circula racirea si pe la baterie, e nasol sa nu fie cel original. Probabil ca pe viitor vor fi avertismente sa fie obligatoriu inlocuit cu cel original.
