Defecte aparute la E39!

Le-am gasit pe un forum strain:

 

Some are common issues (#2, 5 and 14) and others are things that a few people have experienced. The last one has to do with the CDV (Clutch Delay Valve) and there is a cheap fix for that.

 

E39 BMWs commonly do lots of things:

1. Its door seals will “Creak like a wooden sailing ship”, unless you replace the door seals (temp fix). Also, leaking rear door seals will result in a floorboard of water after heavy rain.

2. Its Air Conditioning will have the “aroma of a used gym sock”, unless you occasionally disinfect the A/C system.

3. Its front brakes will “Squeak like a scared mouse”, unless you properly lube the brake pad attachment points.

4. Has an electrical system “as stable as MS Windows”, and most electrical glitches can be “fixed” by rebooting the system by removing the appropriate fuses, or disconnecting the battery.

5. The steering wheel will Shimmy like Anna Nicole Smith trying to get into a pair of Guess Jeans (most commonly affects 528/530s) unless you get just the right torque on the lug bolts and PSI in the tires, Maybe.

6. As pixels burn out the MID computer text will resemble the language for the blind known as braille.

7. Electric auxiliary “pusher” fan will make your car sound like a jet ready for take-off, but only if it works.

8. Rear Window Regulator will “let you down” only when it is most inconvenient for you.

9. Radiator Neck will break off with no warning (at driver side top hose)

10. Catalytic Converters will sound like they full of marbles when they are ready to fail, and are good for about 60k Miles.

11. The Camshaft Position Sensor (CPS) is so reliable that you should carry a spare in your trunk.

12. The Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor will (need a little help here)

13. The Final Stage Resistor will have no problem varying the airflow in your car, but the problem is that it does it even when its not supposed to, until to totally quits that is, then you will have no airflow.

14. Don't even think about using the "canholders" to hold any unsealed container lest you prepare to clean your pants, the car interior, and replace any electronics that were damaged.

15. You say that you like the “Dukes of Hazard”? Well I hope so because you’ll be forced to enter and exit your car through open windows like Bo and Luke Duke when the interior door handles break off in your hand. This is the true reason that BMWs can roll the windows up and down from the key.

16. With the manual transmission, no matter how quickly you lift your foot off the clutch pedal, the clutch always engages the flywheel at a constant rate. What’s up with that? I’m not even going to try this one, Dave Z has it nailed

Destul de completa lista...

As adauga termostatul care pica la multe E39, caseta de directie care curge la multe BMW-uri nu numai E39, becul de airbag de pe bord...

 

Din lista asta am intalnit si la masina mea urmatoarele: miros de la climatronic, pixelii arsi la display-ul din bord, debitmetrul, s-a rupt un maner interior de la usa sofer, suporturile de pahare nu sunt bune de nimic.

Asta cu scrumiera e perfect adevarata!

 

Si, mai adaug:

- senzorul de temperatura exterior, care se rupe foarte usor, impreuna cu aparatoarea aia de plastic

- cablurile de semnal catre difuzoare, sub orice critica

- headunitul care se inchide singur, dupa cum vrea el

-galeria de admisie aer spre filtrul de aer, care, cel putin la diesel, iese usor din locasul ei

-butoanele de la climatronic, care tind sa se crape pe mijloc

- chederele de la usi, care se uzeaza prea usor

- celebra pompa secundara de motorina, de la rezervor, care se defecteaza cam la toata lumea

 

 

Ar mai fi defecte, dar pe alea le-am constatat numai la a mea....una peste alta, eu am tras de masina asta fara mila si, totusi, constat ca n-am avut parte de nici o defectiune majora...

eu ma plimb seara prin oras si scade f putin, o parchez iar dimineata cand dau sa plec e cu vreo 10 litri mai jos :blink: parca merge singura seara cand eu dorm...

Aceste probleme pot sa apara sau la fel de bine pot sa nu :blink: Nu inseamna ca daca iti iei e39 din start ti se rupe butonul x sau y, topicul e cu scop informativ in sensul ca sa aveti grija de x si y sa nu se ... E39 sunt masini reusite in ciuda acestor mici probleme.

Si eu patesc la fel...

Sau dupa ce bagi benzina iti indica mai mult decat ai bagat si isi revine in mers dupa cativa km..

armin nu stiu daca gasesti o masina mai buna de aceeasi generatie... inclusiv posesor de C220 cand s-a urcat in 525d meu a ramas cu gura cascata... cum zboara si cum e interioru...nu stiu sincer la ce se astepta..dar daca cineva cu C class lauda e39 eu zic ca e super ok masina...(in general nu a mea sa nu ziceti ca ma laud)

si cum zicea duxter... e o lista.. nu e musai sa le patesti tu ... sau toate... masina mea e de 5 ani.. si pot sa zic ca din lista aia se aplica.. la a mea.. cativa pixeli mai slabi.. si nu totdeauna si suportu de pahare care nu e bun de tinut pahare... aaa si faza cu acu de la motorina... atata ca nu scade cu 10 l ci mai degraba undeva pe la 2-3 l.. cu aproximatie dar creca e si de la pozitia masinii in repaus/mers ma gandesc la inclinatia rezervorului cand zic asta..

 

ati vazut cum arata parcarea la hotelu REX? daca nu verificati acolo la o poza pe zi... atata ca voi din bucuresti.. le cam stiti masinile dar pentru noi astia din "provincie" e minune mare...

La mine la Alfa era foarte hazliu acul la benzina. Faceam plinul, deobicei la drum lung, si se intampla cateodata ca acul sa ramana tot jos pe rezerva si sa urce spre maxim in timp, cam dupa vreo 100-150 de km parcursi ajungea si el undeva spre maxim, minus benzina consumata binenteles.

La E39 oricum nu e o problema rezolvabila :blink:

Mie mi-a facut o bucurie in prima zi cand am iesit cu ea pe strada cand i-am pus numerele :)

Acul imi arata 35 de litrii, m-am plimbat in jur de 50 km prin Bucuresti si la un moment dat, pica acul la 0 si imi apare si pe bord Range 0 :) asta la cateva seunde dupa ce avusesem range 120 km....

M-am dus spre cea mai apropiata benzinarie si normal cam la 5 minute de ea am ramas fara benzina :)

A doua zi m-am dus mi-am comandat de la Filaret senzorul din rezervor de benzina, l-am schimbat si normal nici acum nu merge cum trebuie.. :)
